Rafting Trip

This was the day I was most excited about, getting to go rafting with Noah’s Ark. I usually like to go rafting with friends or family, lucky for me I got to do it with both. Our day started out with a quick breakfast at camp and then we loaded 30 adults and 42 kids into the vans, cars and covered wagon and headed out for B.V. ( Buena Vista). We arrived at Noah’s Ark Rafting Company (which I highly recommend you give them a call if you are in the area and are looking for some good Colorado fun). We ate lunch, changed, and headed to our safety briefing. Thirty minutes later we were on the river. The water was cold, being that it was snow twenty minutes ago, but the day was beautiful. The outside temperature was around 90 or so. Many of our group had not gone before (including Lindsay) so most were ready to see what they had gotten them selves into. Our boat was manned by the best team in the whole group. Our team was El Roi meaning “The God who sees me” and was made up of Bill, Martha, Greg, Sammy, Shannon, Lindsay, myself and the best guide ever, Kate. What a great exercise on team! We had such a great time on the river that we were a little bummed to have the experience come to an end so soon. But, we had a hot meal waiting back at office and after three hours on the river paddling hard we needed some dinner bad. After dinner we headed back to camp making sure to stop for all the important things like gas and Starbucks. What an awesome day…
