They're not call Antelopes!

That’s right kids, just another super helpful fact from Marshall to help take up useful grey matter. But it's true they are not really antelopes, but really pronghorns. There are no antelopes in North America. Just like Buffalos are not in the Buffalo family, but their real name is Bison.

So the reason I am telling you this is because this last weekend Matt and myself got to experience hunting these animals. We also got to help a guide friend of ours with border patrol around the roads of the private property that he was guiding some guests on, and we actually had a few run ins with poachers.

It was fun a experience hunting these “Speed Goats” as they are also known. Pronghorns have eyesight that is like 8 powered binoculars, so hunting them makes you work on your sneakiness, but Matt and myself were successful with our game.

The picture is of the guests and the guides that are with Pack String Outfitters that helped all of us with our hunts.

Is it just me or does the animal held by the Celtic-looking fellow on the right have little horns? Oh my gosh...he shot Bambi.
